Declan McMahon: Roman Reigns Is Incredible Right Now, But I Wouldn’t Mind Being Undisputed Champion
Declan McMahon has high praise for Roman Reigns.
Despite not being an active wrestler, Declan McMahon has made headlines in recent weeks for his various comments about the wrestling industry and his potential future as a performer.
While chatting with Developmentally Speaking for a new interview, McMahon was asked about the possibility of being the one that finally takes down Roman Reigns, who has been positioned firmly at the top of WWE for over four years at this point.
“I’ve talked to Mr. Reigns a lot. He’s such a great guy, but what he’s doing right now is incredible. He’s really helping out the business, not only in the United States but all over the world. The storyline with The Bloodline, and how it’s evolved from something that happened at the beginning of 2019 and stemmed through COVID. It’s been going on for so long. It’s just really been incredible. They’ve really done a phenomenal job with him, and it shows that it doesn’t always work the first time, right? Sometimes you have a lot of trial and error. Roman Reigns, when he first won the belt, people hated him. They were booing him out of the building, but now he’s really ascended into one of the one of the all-time elite, and I’m very, very happy for what they’ve done with him. He’s done a phenomenal, phenomenal job, but if the storyline had it, you know, I wouldn’t really mind being the Undisputed Champion. That wouldn’t be too bad.”
Elsewhere in the interview, McMahon provided an update on his father’s recovery from injury. Fans can learn more here.
Roman Reigns is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against LA Knight at the upcoming Crown Jewel premium live event. Fans can learn more about the card for that event here.
