The Elite Make Multiple CM Punk References, Lose To Death Triangle On 11/23 AEW Dynamite
Death Triangle goes up 2-0.
On Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero Miedo, & Rey Fenix) picked up a victory over The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) to go up 2-0 in their best of seven series.
The finish saw Penta use the hammer on Matt Jackson, who was about to use a hammer of his own.
Before the match began, it was noted that PAC, who was wearing a mask, suffered a broken nose at AEW Full Gear.
The Chicago crowd chanted “CM Punk” and “Fuck The Elite” during The Elite’s entrances. During the match, CM Punk references were abound as Omega did the “Go To Sleep pose” and hit a GTS on PAC for a two count. Omega also bit PAC, a reference to Ace Steel reportedly biting Omega during their altercation at AEW All Out. The Young Bucks got in on the references with Matt Jackson failing on a Buckshot Lariat, poking fun at Punk failing on the Buckshot Lariat multiple times during his AEW Double or Nothing match against Hangman Page.
