David Finlay On Bullet Club War Dogs: Leaders Come And Go, I Will Die In This Top Spot

David Finlay says he’s righting the wrongs of the past.

At NJPW Wrestling Dontaku Night Two, David Finlay defeated Nic Nemeth to regain the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship. He previously beat Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay to win the title at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18, but Nemeth dethroned him at New Beginning in Sapporo.

In his post-match comments, David Finlay celebrated his win.

“Look how beautiful this [title] looks on my shoulder. Now, this is more than just a belt to me, this is more than just a title. How can I be telling my War Dogs to bring me bodies and bring me gold if I’m not out there doing it first every single damn time, like the savage king that I am? Because fuck leaders. Leaders come and go. Leaders can be replaced, but I will die in this top spot because that is how I do things. My boys wouldn’t have it any other way. Now, I have spent the last few months righting the wrongs of the past. I got my revenge on Billy ‘The Bitch’, Will Ospreay. I got my revenge on Nic Nemeth. I proved to the world that I was the rightful winner of the New Japan Cup. But one tiny, tiny blemish remains, and that blemish is you, SANADA. Now, I don’t care where. I don’t care when. Frankly, I really don’t care what condition you’re in. Just know, you’re up first, bitch. Now, enough of the chit-chat. We’ve got beers to drink. We’ve got championships to celebrate. Drinks are on me tonight, boys,” Finlay said.

SANADA is currently sidelined, and he is under medical appraisal. More information is available here.
