David Arquette Says Dark Side Of The Ring Is Doing An Episode With Nick Gage

David Arquette and Nick Gage will forever be linked thanks to a November 2018 incident at Joey Janela’s LA Confidential when Arquette got his neck sliced open during a deathmatch with Gage.

Arquette took responsibility for the incident, saying it was his inexperience that caused the incident to happen. He even went as far as apologizing for bringing negative attention to the wrestling world.

In an interview with Sam Robert & Jim Norton, Arquette reflected on the incident and revealed Nick Gage will be involved in the upcoming season of Dark Side of the Ring.

“I take responsibility for my part. You always have to stick to the plan, I wouldn’t have gotten stabbed in the neck if I stuck to the plan. There’s a lot that goes on. Nick Gage is an amazing wrestler, he’s a lot better wrestler than people might think. They might think it’s just a deathmatch situation and (he’s) just a tough guy, but he’s actually a very skilled wrestler. A lot of factors came in that situation. We have no hard feelings and they’re doing a Dark Side of the Ring with him and I hope to participate in. I have no hard feelings, I learned a lot, the main thing is to stick to the plan,” said Arquette.

Season three of Dark Side of the Ring has not been officially announced by Vice, but there has been plenty of positive signs regarding a third season, including producer Evan Husney telling Sports Illustrated that everyone involved, including Vice, wants to make it happen.

When asked about Arquette not liking the plan put in place by Gage, Arquette said, “You sort of have rules and boundaries and sometimes they get crossed. There’s a lot of different ways to handle different situations. I’m just happy I didn’t die. I thought I was done. I fell on him and just tried to pin him, but he kicked out because I wasn’t supposed to win. I learned a lot of lessons.”

Arquette has continued to wrestle since the incident with Gage and his new documentary “You Cannot Kill David Arquette” is set to be released on-demand on August 28
