Darby Allin Says He Has A Special Entrance Planned For Sting’s Last Match At AEW Revolution
Darby Allin has something special planned for Sting’s final entrance at AEW Revolution.
Sting, whether in his neon-clad era or his “Crow” inspired era, has always been a professional wrestling persona that has thrived on presentation and aura.
A huge part of his early days as “Crow” Sting involved Sting repelling down from the rafters to arrive on the scene, usually to combat Hollywood Hulk Hogan and the New World Order.
Sting is preparing to have his final match on March 3 at AEW Revolution. On that night he will team with Darby Allin to defend the AEW Tag Team Championship against The Young Bucks, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson.
During a recent interview with Fanatics View’s Walt Chism and Mike Peticca, Darby was asked whether or not we could potentially see Sting come down from the rafters one more time.
Darby says that, while he would like to see it as a fan, that decision is out of his hands.
“You know, I would love it, but that’s out of my hands,” he said.
Darby was also asked if he thinks he can talk Sting into it, seeing as he’s the person who talked “The Icon” into getting back into the squared circle and ending his career on his own terms.
Darby joked that if Sting is still willing to jump from balconies, anything might be on the table.
“If he is willing to jump off balconies, I’m pretty sure he’s—”
Overall, Darby says he does have a plan for Sting’s final entrance and hopes everything comes together nicely in Greensboro.
“I got a special thing planned for Sting’s final entrance that I’ve been working on. So, we’ll see how everything plays out in Greensboro,” he said.
Darby has previously stated that he will do whatever it takes to make Sting’s last match a very special moment for everyone.
Once Sting retires, Darby’s focus will shift to becoming the AEW World Champion and the face of the company. After he climbs Mount Everest, that is.
