On the September 18 episode of WWE Raw, Shinsuke Nakamura came to the ring for a match with Ricochet. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins stormed the ring, and security guards came out to separate them.
Rollins and Nakamura brawled after the bout, in which Nakamura defeated Ricochet via disqualification. Shinsuke gained the upper hand, and he slammed Rollins back-first onto both a chair and the broadcast table.

Limelight announced that he was a free agent on September 8, 2022. He had a prominent run in MLW, where he held the MLW World Tag Team Championship. In recent months, Limelight has been somewhat active on the independent scene, as he has wrestled for Championship Wrestling and FSW, among other promotions.
