Daniel Cormier To Lead ESPN’s Coverage Of WrestleMania, Jokingly Says He’ll Smack Brock Lesnar
Daniel Cormier is heading to WrestleMania on behalf of ESPN.
Daniel Cormier has not been shy about his wrestling fandom and was even involved as the special guest referee for the Fight Pit between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle at WWE Extreme Rules 2022. Now, he has announced that he will be heading to WrestleMania 39 six months later as he leads the coverage of the “Showcase of the Immortals” for ESPN.
“I’m getting more opportunities for ESPN, and I’m so thankful for that,” says Cormier to Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso. “So I’ll be at WrestleMania, just in a different capacity, and we’ll see what the future holds down the line.”
In the past, DC has opened up about potentially wrestling Brock Lesnar in the squared circle. Cormier is still not backing down from “The Beast Incarnate,” jokingly saying that if he gets in his way at WrestleMania, he will not hesitate to get physical.
“If Brock steps in my way?” Cormier asks with a laugh. “I’ll smack him upside his head.”
Back in 2022, Cormier had stated that if a match with Lesnar is going to happen at any point in time in WWE, it needs to happen sooner rather than later. Fans can read his comments here.
