Daniel Bryan Breaks Royal Rumble Record

Daniel Bryan has lasted longer than any other wrestler in a Royal Rumble match.

The first entrant in the 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble match was Daniel Bryan and he stayed in the match until there were only three wrestlers left in the match. He was eliminated by Big Cass after being in the match for one hour, sixteen minutes and five seconds.

This broke the record set by Rey Mysterio Jr who won the 2006 Royal Rumble match after entering second and lasting one hour, two minutes, and fifteen seconds.

In 2006, Mysterio faced twenty-nine other wrestlers and eliminated six of them. Daniel Bryan faced a record forty-nine opponents but only eliminated three during the match in Saudi Arabia.

Bryan will face Big Cass at WWE Backlash after Big Cass has attacked Bryan two weeks in a row on Smackdown.

The eventual winner of the Greatest Royal Rumble match was Braun Strowman who eliminated Big Cass soon after Bryan was eliminated.
