Damian Priest: I Wanted The Perfect Opportunity, Timing, And Moment For My Money In The Bank Cash-In

Damian Priest wanted the perfect moment.

At WrestleMania XL, Priest cemented his name in wrestling history, as he cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase on Drew McIntyre to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Priest was able to cash in his contract after CM Punk attacked McIntyre following his victory over Seth Rollins.

While appearing on WWE’s The Bump, Priest said he doesn’t care about what Drew McIntyre says about him, because all McIntyre does is talk anymore.

“I could care less what Drew says. Drew’s been talking for months. That’s all he does is talk. He forgot how to deliver, and that’s why he lost at WrestleMania. That’s why he lost on Raw. The old Drew McIntyre, the one that he always talks about, when he had his moment but there was no fans, that guy handled business. This guy, all he does is talk and complain and whine, and then he loses. He does it to himself, so I could care less. I’m sure he’s on social media. That’s what he cares about now, and people, ‘Oh, yeah, Drew, you’re funny.’ I can be serious.”

Priest then went on to say that his cash-in at WrestleMania was perfect.

“I’ve been saying I wanted the perfect opportunity, timing, the moment, all of it, it had to be perfect. WrestleMania, it can’t get any more perfect than that. So this was the time.”

Priest finished of by talking about how he felt after he secured the championship at WrestleMania.

“Oh, it was like a ball of emotions. It’s everything that I wanted. I was hyped, happy, proud.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Damian Priest said that the Judgment Day has to be in the conversation for the best factions ever. Learn more here.
