Damian Priest To Defend World Heavyweight Championship Against Jey Uso At WWE Backlash
The first match for Backlash has been confirmed.
On the April 15 episode of Raw, Damian Priest was speaking with Finn Balor backstage about his match on Raw against Jey Uso. During this segment, Priest mentioned that he’d be defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Uso at the upcoming Backlash premium live event.
Uso won the right to challenge Priest for the title on the April 8 episode of Raw, when he defeated Bronson Reed, Ricochet, and Drew McIntyre in a number one contender’s bout.

This will be Priest’s first defense of the title that he won at WrestleMania XL. At that event, Priest cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase on Drew McIntyre just moments after he had defeated Seth Rollins to win the title.
