D-Von Dudley Health Issues, The Rock Teases New Fortnite Skin | Fight-Size Update

Here is your Fight-Size Update for the evening of November 29, 2020.

~ WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley revealed that he is currently dealing with some health issues. On the latest episode of his Table Talk podcast, the former Tag Team Champion had this to say (transcription via POST Wrestling):

“Hanging in there. I’ve had some health issues but I’m hanging in there.

I miss you guys. Hopefully I’ll be back soon. I gotta see what the doctors say but, it’s been a little rough, but I’ve been hanging in there, doing what I can.”

Dudley has been absent from the show in recent weeks, and did not provide any further details.

~ According to former Cincinnati Reds player Sean Casey, Mick Foley is to credit for the greatest game of his career. Speaking with WFAN New York (via Steve Gerweck), the former National League All-Star revealed that he saw the WWE Legend sitting in the front row and brought him a signed baseball. Here’s what he wrote:

“Thank you and Undertaker for the Hell in a Cell match”

I guess it pays to be nice, as Casey went 5-for-5 at Shea Stadium that day, leading his team to a victory over the hometown Mets.

~ During the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, a float depicting the infamous black turtleneck, silver chain, and fanny pack wearing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was brought out to promote NBC’s upcoming series, Young Rock.

After Brandon Davis observed that it bore the resemblance of a Fortnite skin, Johnson took to Twitter and teased that he might be onto something.

No official announcements have been made by Johnson or Epic Games, the developers of the popular franchise.

~ On the anniversary of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s Las Vegas wedding, WWE shared their latest TOP 10, which takes a look back at the power couple’s finest moments.

~ Jerry “The King” Lawler turned 71 years old today. He spent the afternoon watching the Jaguars and Browns with his longtime broadcasting partner, Jim Ross.

~ According to Lance Storm, AEW is the Hawaiian Pizza of wrestling.

Although he received some pushback from former WCW commentator Mark Madden, the conversation concluded after Storm asserted that too many people enjoy arguing over subjective entertainment – presumably in some musguided and vain quest for validation – rather than just being a fan of wrestling.

~ John “Bradshaw” Layfield is celebrating his 54th birthday today.

~ GCW has added two new bouts to their Saturday, December 5th show. The first is a rematch between Lio Rush and Blake Christian, while the second is a non-title match between Rickey Shane Page and Juicy Finau.

“This event will be held w/ no fans in attendance & serve as a fundraiser for the GCW performers facing uncertainty in the coming months as shows are cancelled & their income dissappears.”

~ Ring of Honor Final Battle is set to take place on December 18th, and will mark the promotions first live show in months. No matches have been announced, but a new promotional spot does confirm that ROH Pure Champion Jonathan Gresham, EC3, The Briscoe Brothers, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, and many more will be appearing.

~ Today marks the 4 year anniversary of the debut of 205 Live. The show premiered, and originally aired, immediately following SmackDown, which bumped Talking Smack from the popular time slot.

~ The relationship between tag team partners Lacey Evans and Peyton Royce continues to erode, as the two traded barbs over Twitter this morning. The pairing of these two women continues to confuse, especially when you consider that Royce was inexplicably split from her longtime Iiconics partner, Billie Kay.

~ WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn believes that management is working overtime to sabotage him.

~ Earlier today, AEW’s Miro and Kip Sabian were playing Call of Duty when “The Best Man” performed what he is calling his best kill ever. It was so good that both men decided to isolate their reactions and share them online.

~ To honor the premier of Liv Forever on the WWE Network, Bayley shared an image of her with the Riott Squad, saying that the women’s division is a better place because of them.

~ If you didn’t get enough of it last week, you’re in for a treat. Another match between Murphy and King Corbin is scheduled to take place on the next episode of SmackDown. The rematch was announced via commercial during today’s NFL on FOX coverage.

~ Ember Moon has officially joined Shotzi Blackheart’s team for NXT TakeOver: WarGames, leaving two spots still open. They will be facing Candice LeRae, Toni Storm, Dakota Kai, and Raquel Gonzalez. The vignette, which can be seen below, is quick, to the point, and filled with blowtorches.
