D’Lo Brown Shares Who He Believes Is The Future Of IMPACT Wrestling

D’Lo Brown is excited for the future of IMPACT Wrestling.

Speaking with Joey Karni of The Angle Podcast, the IMPACT commentator spoke about Rebellion, his transition from in-ring to backstage, and much more. Asked if there was anyone that he firmly believes is the future of the company, D’Lo said the following:

“Easily Deonna Purrazzo is going to be the face of the Knockout’s Division for a long time to come. That woman has got ‘star’ written all over her and she carries herself in and out of the ring like a star. Always, Eddie Edwards is a guy you look at and you go, ‘Man, Eddie is the flag bearer of this company and there’s still great things waiting down the road for Eddie Edwards.’ Then you look at a young guy like Ace Austin. I think he’s got the potential to be special in this business and be a multiple-time world champion here in IMPACT Wrestling. The future is bright for our company. We’ve got people lined up everywhere and can handle different roles, and I think there’s so much on the horizon for this company. I’m just excited.”

D’Lo commented on how he is excited for all three competitors’ matches at Rebellion but believes the X-Division Championship Match between Ace Austin, TJP, and Josh Alexander has the potential to steal the show.

D’Lo and Matt Striker took over IMPACT’s commentary duties in January at the Hard To Kill event. They will be joined by the former voice of NXT, Mauro Ranallo, for the main event of Rebellion, which will see AEW’s Kenny Omega and IMPACT’s Rich Swann go head-to-head in a Title vs. Title Match.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp spoke with Eddie Edwards ahead of IMPACT Rebellion. That interview can be seen here.

Fightful will have live coverage of Rebellion tomorrow, April 25, beginning at 5 p.m. PST. We will also have a post-show review immediately after its conclusion. For more information on the event, click here.
