D-Generation X, Including Chyna Announced For WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2019

Are you ready for DX in the Hall Of Fame?

WWE has confirmed that D-Generation X will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame on WrestleMania 35 weekend. The story first made the rounds yesterday when a Twitter user shared a video of a local advertisement which promoted the induction of D-Generation X into WWE’s Hall Of Fame.

The group has had different variations but the band that wrestling fans commonly refer to when speaking about DX consists of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Brian “Road Dogg” James, Billy Gunn, X-Pac and the late-former two-time WWF Intercontinental Champion Chyna.

In the video, the list of names that were noted in the previous paragraph were advertised for the Hall Of Fame ceremony on April 6th at the Barclays Center. Triple H is the founder and senior producer of NXT and NXT UK and working alongside him is WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels. Brian “Road Dogg” James works as a lead creative writer for WWE and has made a few on-screen appearances as of late in a storyline involving Jeff Jarrett and Elias. Sean Waltman hosts his “X-Pac 12360” podcast and Billy Gunn has secured a role as a producer for All Elite Wrestling.

“The Ninth Wonder Of The World” Chyna, real name Joan Marie Laurer unfortunately passed away in 2016. Since her passing, her family members have been pleading and lobbying with WWE through social media to place Chyna in the WWE Hall Of Fame. Throughout her career in the sports-entertainment company, she was the first woman and is still the only woman in WWE history to hold the Intercontinental Title and became the first woman to qualify for the King Of The Ring tournament. Adding on to her resume’ is a WWF Women’s Championship win. A video surfaced earlier this month from a friend of Chyna and she stated in the video that she wanted to make amends with WWE but she passed away just two months later.

It was reported by PWInsider earlier this month that The Original Hart Foundation consisting of Bret “The Hitman” Hart, Jimmy Hart and the late Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart are also set to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame later this year.
