CZW Announces Return To Live Events, GCW Reportedly Had Deal In Place To Purchase Company
Combat Zone Wrestling is coming back to action.
CZW announced the company will return to live events on Sunday, October 24 with Renaissance of Tradition. In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month, the promotion is working with BreastCancer.org and all proceeds will be donated.
This will mark the first CZW live event since March 21, 2020. The event was headlined by Joe Gacy, who has since signed with WWE, defending the CZW World Heavyweight Title against Jimmy Lloyd and Jordan Oliver.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider, there was a signed Memorandum of Understanding for Game Changer Wrestling to purchase and revitalize CZW, but CZW owner DJ Hyde had second thoughts and pulled out of the deal.
