Curtis Axel On Lavar Ball RAW Segment: “I Was Disgusted With The Whole Thing”
Lavar Ball made a mockery of Miz TV last night, and one member of Miz’s entourage didn’t take too kindly to it.
Last night on RAW, Sports Radio's least favorite dad, Lavar Ball. and his sons were guests on Miz TV. You can watch the segment above.
One of Lavar's sons, fifteen year old LaMelo, dropped the "n-word" while Lavar was facing off with Miz, exhorting his father to "Beat that n—a ass."
That was around the time that Miz's rival, Dean Ambrose came out. He said a few things, which Lavar talked over, and the segment seemed to end a little early.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, there was "chaos backstage" over the use of the racial slur, and that Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn were said to be "very unhappy."
They weren't the only ones.
Curtis Axel, third-generation superstar and new member of Miz's entourage, was standing backstage waiting to join his stablemate for a scheduled six-man tag. He didn't like what he saw. So much so that he called into a hometown radio station and went on the 93x Half Assed Morning Show to give his thoughts.
"They don’t need to be on TV. Get them off. It was embarrassing. Looking at that from my perspective, it was funny backstage looking at it, but that’s not something that… you know, this is my opinion. The kids watch this show. It’s a kid’s program, we took it down to PG-13 and made everything kid-friendly, right? And for someone to come on there and grab the microphone and go off and do something outlandish like this and you were told… I guarantee they were told not to do it – it’s embarrassing.
And yeah, I was watching it backstage and I was embarrassed. Growing up in the family business like this and seeing some guy… the whole family to me. Granted, you know the kid’s gonna be a superstar or whatever but the dad and the other guy, they do this on a program where my family’s busted their ass – it embarrasses me and it pisses me off. It sucks.
They went off on their own and did whatever they did to hype themselves up, so I was disgusted with the whole thing."
