‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton Comments On Randy Orton’s Back Injury
Randy Orton has not wrestled since the May 20 episode of WWE SmackDown when he & Riddle lost to The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) in a Tag Team Title Unification bout.
“The Viper” has been out with a back injury and it is unknown when he will return to the ring.
Speaking to Sportskeeda, Orton’s father “Cowboy” Bob Orton weighed in on the injury.
“He’s got a little bit of a back problem. I think he’ll take care of everything with rehab and everything. After more than 20 years, wear and tear on the body, it’s too much,” he said.
In January, Orton noted that he was “starting to feel it” in his back from all the times he’s hit the RKO over the years.
“I kind of wish I could go back in time and create a finishing move that didn’t entail me jumping up as high as I can and landing on my back. After doing that a couple of thousand times over the last few decades, I’m starting to feel it,” Randy Orton said in an interview with Fox 2 Now.
