Contract Signing Set For SmackDown To Make Daniel Bryan And Kofi Kingston’s WrestleMania Match Official

Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston will make their championship match official.

WWE has announced that on this upcoming Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live which emanates from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, Kofi Kingston and the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan will make their WWE Championship match that is slated for WrestleMania 35 official by way of a contract signing.

Last week on SmackDown, after weeks of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon placing roadblocks in front of Kofi Kingston on Kofi’s road to the WWE Title, Vince presented one more path for Kofi to get to the WWE Title at WrestleMania and that was for Xavier Woods and Big E to win a tag team gauntlet match. Woods and Big E had help from the current SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos who decided to forfeit so that Kofi could secure his match at WrestleMania and Woods and Big E were able to outlast Daniel Bryan and Rowan to win the gauntlet for Kingston.

Kofi Kingston versus Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship is set for April 7th and this Tuesday they’ll make it official.

There are fourteen matches on the WrestleMania card as of this writing but John Pollock of POST Wrestling reported yesterday that the company is planning to add RAW and SmackDown Tag Title matches to the show and for more on that report, click here.
