Conrad Thompson Says Those Expecting CM Punk at All Out Will Probably Be Disappointed

CM Punk will take his first professional wrestling-related booking in five years when he takes the stage at Starrcast III.

Conrad Thompson appeared on a media conference today and spoke about CM Punk’s upcoming Starrcast appearance and clarified that it was not a booking through All Elite Wrestling but a separate booking just for CM Punk. Conrad would also say that those who expect to see CM Punk at AEW All Out may have another thing coming.

“There’s a lot of speculation out there, this was not a piggyback booking. I did not book CM Punk through AEW. He’s not going to be at All Out,” Thompson said. “Anyone that has that expectation is probably going to be a little disappointed because that’s not the way my booking happened. All that being said, I’m sure any wrestling company would love to have a conversation with him about joining their company. And that’s just not specific to AEW or WWE.”

Conrad would also reveal that the person on the other end of the microphone when CM Punk is on stage has been chosen. Although that person has not yet been revealed, Conrad promises a knowledgeable host.

“I will say that it is– it was something that was debated and discussed and I believe we have filled that spot now. And I know that piece was very important to CM Punk, and I think people are going to be pleased because the person who is going to be doing it, that we haven’t yet revealed, probably doing his fair share of homework. And it will not just be surface. They will get into the heart of the matter.”

CM Punk will take the stage then afternoon before All Out on August 31. Starrcast III will be live on FITE.tv
