Colt Cabana Discusses His Role As Brooklyn Brawler On ‘Young Rock’

Colt Cabana returned to television on Tuesday, but not AEW television.

Cabana appeared on “Young Rock” playing Brooklyn Brawler on the show. Tuesday’s episode centered around The Rock making his WWE debut with appearances by the characters of Steve Austin, Triple H, The Undertaker, and more.

Cabana last wrestled on the March 8 episode of AEW Dark, but was active during WrestleMania weekend, appearing at WrestleCon SuperShow and ROH Supercard of Honor.

During a Twitch Q&A after the episode aired, Cabana said, “For those of you wondering why I was gone for seven weeks, that’s what I was doing for seven weeks while in Australia. I was out playing the Brooklyn Brawler.”

He said he sent his audition to Chavo Guerrero, who is the stunt coordinator on the show, and booked the part. He also noted that filming took six days.

Speaking about Brawler’s reaction, Cabana said, “I didn’t tell Brooklyn Brawler, I wanted it to be a surprise, that was my plan all along. He didn’t find out until tonight and then he sent me a text that says, ‘Thank you, you did a great job.'”

Cabana noted that he worked with Brawler a lot when he was in WWE. He also said that he did not see The Rock while filming and he hopes to return to the series for season three.

It is unknown when Cabana will return to AEW TV.
