Cody Rhodes: People Are Talking About Night Two Of WrestleMania XL, I’m Thinking About Night One

Cody Rhodes is not looking past the first night of WrestleMania and the tag match against The Rock and Roman Reigns.

The wrestling world is anxious to see Cody Rhodes finish the story on the second night of WrestleMania. However, before he can have his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship rematch against Roman Reigns on the second night of WrestleMania XL, he must team with Seth Rollins against Roman Reigns and The Rock on the first night of WrestleMania.

Speaking as part of a panel that took place during WWE World, Rhodes was candid about not looking past the first match and the potential ramifications that the match on the first night of WrestleMania can have on the second night.

“It’s tricky because it’s new to me in terms of two nights of WrestleMania, wrestling both nights, again, cold-weather matches. It’s tricky because I am only thinking about night one. I know a lot of people and everyone I talk to and everyone backstage, and running into so many wonderful fans, a lot of people are talking about Night Two, and that match with Roman Reigns and that moment with Roman Reigns. I am just thinking about Night One. So I’m not gonna stand up here and give you the Joe Namath guarantee on anything, but I will say it would be absolutely an uphill battle like no uphill battle before because every match has essentially been a Bloodline Rules match, so just adding that stipulation to it alone, I wouldn’t want to know what that looks like.”

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are already guaranteed to make history on a multitude of fronts at WrestleMania XL. They will now be the first two wrestlers to headline back-to-back nights of WrestleMania. The event switched to a multi-night format in 2020.
