In the main event, Rhodes and Jey Uso defended the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against Finn Balor and Damian Priest of The Judgment Day. Jimmy Uso interfered and helped Balor and Priest win the bout and the titles. The loss brought Rhodes and Uso’s reign to an end barely over a week after they won the gold at WWE Fastlane.
Rhodes took to social media on October 18 and seemingly responded to the loss in a brief post.

Cody’s misfortune somewhat continued on the October 17 episode of WWE NXT. It was announced that Cody’s last move as the special guest general manager of NXT was to add Trick Williams to the #1 Contender’s Match for the NXT Championship. However, before the bout, Williams was attacked backstage, and he was removed from the match. Carmelo Hayes ultimately emerged victorious.
