Cody Rhodes Vows To End Roman Reigns Undisputed WWE Title Reign In Confrontation On 3/22 SmackDown

Roman Reigns tried to proclaim Cody Rhodes to be the best number two in WWE, but Cody plans on being the one who finally ends Roman’s reign with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns agreed to meet in a face-to-face confrontation on the March 22 episode of WWE SmackDown and both men agreed to come alone. That particular stipulation was adhered to for the duration of the confrontation, with the exception of Paul Heyman who was deemed not to be a physical threat.

Roman Reigns questioned whether or not Cody Rhodes could trust Seth Rollins because even though Rollins vowed to be Cody’s personal Shield, Reigns says he knows Rollins is not to be trusted from their time together in The Shield.

Cody turned that on Roman by asking whether or not he could truly trust The Rock. Cody asked who was truly at the head of the table, The Tribal Chief or The Final Boss.

Ultimately, the confrontation ended without physicality and even though Roman Reigns tried to flex on Cody Rhodes by having Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa appear. Rhodes was prepared as it was revealed that Jey Uso and Seth Rollins were all so in the crowd ready for any shenanigans.

Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins will team up to face the Rock and Roman Reigns on the first night of WrestleMania XL. Cody will then challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the second night of WrestleMania XL.

Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso are also scheduled for a major one-on-one clash at WrestleMania.

WrestleMania is fast approaching. Fans can check out the full card for the event here.
