Cody Rhodes Says He Misses His Office At AEW Buildings

Before Cody Rhodes returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38, he was one of four Executive Vice Presidents in AEW and helped found the company.

Cody was often praised by his peers for the work he did in the ring and behind the scenes at AEW, and is still remembered today by current EVPs Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson for helping get the company off the ground.

Speaking on WWE After The Bell, Cody was asked what he missed from AEW and his time away from WWE.

“If I missed anything from my time away, and that was such a fun time, the only thing I miss is, I had an office in every building. In that office was some of the most fun, no business was being done, maybe 5% business and Brandi [Brandi Rhodes] was the one doing business, the other 95% of it was me and my buddies, new people coming in, hiding people in there, every week we had the Nightmare Bar. Fully stocked. Once guys and girls were done working, I miss that office. Dogs were in there, Little Brodie [Brodie Lee Jr] was in there all the time. I really miss the office. What happens is, some of the guys go to the buildings and they’ll take a picture of where my room was and send it to me. It’s really sad,” said Cody.

Corey Graves mentioned the “meetings” he would have with Dusty Rhodes in his office in NXT and how they were productive because it would get their mind off wrestling and work, leading to more creativity and ideas.

Elsewhere during the interview, Cody discussed the possibility of bringing back the scoops hotline. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
