In recent weeks, Cody Rhodes has been locked in a bitter feud with Shinsuke Nakamura. Rhodes seemingly closed the book on this rivalry on the January 8 episode of WWE Raw. In the main event, he defeated Nakamura in a Street Fight.
Rhodes then took to Twitter/X and stated that there were only two steps left. He ended the brief message by saying, “Believe.” The post seemingly referred to Rhodes’ plan to win the Royal Rumble and challenge for the world title at WrestleMania 40.

Rhodes won the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble. He went on to headline WrestleMania 39. There, he challenged Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Many fans hoped to see Rhodes finish the story, but Reigns emerged victorious. Rhodes has been trying to earn his way back to the top ever since, and he will have a chance to take the next step at WWE Royal Rumble.
