Cody Rhodes Never Wants To See Authority Figures On AEW Dynamite, Sees Big Thing Ahead For Wardlow
Cody Rhodes never wants to see an authority storyline play on AEW Dynamite as he feels the audience is a lot more intelligent than that.
Cody Rhodes briefly engaged in a Twitter Q&A on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020. one of the questions asked was if we would ever see an authority storyline play out on Dynamite. Authority storylines have been a staple of professional wrestling television for well over 20 years and, for Cody, he would like to leave that element of pro wrestling in the past.
Hopefully never. The audience isn’t dumb, they know who management is. Authority elements seem insulting in this era. This is just my opinion, as there’s a lot of fun ways to do this and I respect those. https://t.co/XqCdOcnqW8

Cody was also asked about what All Elite Wrestling stars he sees playing big roles in the future and one name he singled out was Wardlow, the man he faced inside of a steel cage in Atlanta, Georgia.
Might be a lot of those, the talent pool in wrestling is so rich atm
Statlander & Wardlow seem to be on the verge of special stuff
If they do the work, sky is the limit https://t.co/OwnAPedDQB

Cody now looks ahead to the May 23 Double Or Nothing pay-per-view where he will face Lance Archer to determine the inaugural AEW TNT Champion.
The TNT Championship is a championship that Cody says his special because it did not come from the mind of anybody inside of All Elite Wrestling.
The fact that it didn’t come from management. It came from the actual network, crazy when you put that into perspective. Honored to have been a part of this tournie.

Before then, however, Dynamite must return to live television. The first live Dynamite in weeks will take place on Wednesday, May 6, 2020.
