Cody Rhodes Feels Being Part Of WarGames Is ‘Just Not Gonna Happen’ At WWE Survivor Series 2023

Cody Rhodes comments on the possibility of being part of WarGames.

WWE brought WarGames to the main roster in 2022 for the first time in company history. WarGames had become a tradition in NXT since it was first utilized in 2017, but with Triple H taking over creative duties in the summer of 2022, he utilized the two-ring cage at Survivor Series to pit The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso), Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn) against  The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Butch, and Ridge Holland), Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens in the men’s contest.

Dusty Rhodes famously created WarGames, which was first used in 1987 and became a tradition at WCW events.

Cody Rhodes has never competed in WarGames, and he’s not expecting to be part of the match at Survivor Series 2023.

Speaking to Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Cody said he feels it’s “just not gonna happen” for him after it’s eluded him a few times. “I’m not gonna get picked for the WarGames team or who knows what I could be doing that night. It would be a really special thing if I could.”

Cody has not only never competed in WarGames, but he never competed in Blood & Guts in AEW, which is their version of the match.

WWE has not officially announced WarGames as being part of Survivor Series 2023.
