Cody Rhodes’ quest to finish the story continues following his victory over Shinsuke Nakamura.
Rhodes and Nakamura have been feuding for several weeks, as Nakamura his spit poison mist in Cody’s face and vowed to finish his story. Rhodes defeated Nakamura via disqualification on the December 11 episode of WWE Raw, and they agreed to a rematch on the January 8 episode.
The two foes were set to headline the show, and when Nakamura attacked Rhodes backstage on Monday, the bout was changed into a Street Fight. Rhodes and Nakamura utilized the stipulation, as they brawled around the arena and used various weapons. Nakamura hit Rhodes with a Kendo Stick and a pair of nunchucks. Rhodes also used the Kendo Stick on Nakamura.
Shinsuke accidentally took out the timekeeper with the poison mist. He repeatedly hit Cody with a chair, and he even put him through a table. However, in the end, Rhodes rallied, as he sent Nakamura through a table and hit the Crossrhodes for the win.
