The road to WrestleMania 39 continues, and with the buzzworthy show only two weeks away, WWE announced that “The American Nightmare” will appear live on the March 17 episode of WWE SmackDown. Rhodes continues to feud with The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos & Solo Sikoa) as he is set to challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39.
From WWE:
Two weeks from the biggest match of Cody Rhodes’ career, the WWE Universe will hear from The American Nightmare tonight on SmackDown.
Between his upcoming WrestleMania showdown with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, which seemingly gets more personal by the day, and his recent interactions with fellow Bloodline rivals Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, there’s no shortage of topics for Rhodes to address.
What will The American Nightmare, one of WWE’s most stirring orators, say when he’s got a live mic? Find out tonight on SmackDown at 8/7 C on FOX!
WWE also announced that Legado del Fantasma and the Judgment Day will collide in a mixed tag team match, as Santos Escobar and Zelina Vega will take on the team of Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley. Dominik, Damian Priest, and Finn Balor defeated Escobar, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro on the March 10 episode of WWE SmackDown. In recent weeks, Escobar and Dominik have been feuding, as Santos has taken issue with Dominik disrespecting his father, Rey Mysterio.
