CM Punk Set To Be On Commentary For Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins At WWE WrestleMania 40

CM Punk will be on commentary at WrestleMania 40.

‘The Second City Saint’ made his return to Raw on March 25 and once again confirmed that he’ll be at WrestleMania 40. Punk brought up the idea of possibly guest hosting at the event before noting that the idea would have been beneath him ten years ago.

Punk then addressed Roman Reigns and his recent comments where he said that Punk bitches when he reaches the top. Punk stated that he thinks he’ll be seeing Reigns soon as he makes his way down the mountain.

Drew McIntyre came out soon after, and Punk wasted no time with the microphone, as he told McIntyre to get his bitch ass to the ring. McIntyre brought up the last time that he was in a ring with Punk, where he stomped his arm to pieces.

The segment got really heated at this point, as McIntyre called out Punk for being in rehab all the time despite not drinking or doing drugs. The ‘Scottish Psychopath’ also stated that he refused to get in the ring because he might have a weapon on him, similar to the people in Chicago.

McIntyre went on and noted that he is the chosen one and that he wants Punk to have a front row seat to his world title win at WrestleMania. Punk dared McIntyre to name who was the person that gave him that nickname, but McIntyre obviously refused to do that.

Seth Rollins came out next and said that he knew he was at an ‘away game’, but that it was time to get down to business. Rollins noted that it would be ironic if Punk got to commentate the World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania, as he would get to narrate the finest moment of Rollins and his title reign. Rollins also warned Punk to stay out of his way.

Punk ended the segment by confirming that he will be on commentary for the bout between Rollins and McIntyre, stating that he’ll be able to make both guys interesting, which is something they failed to do on their own in his ten year absence from the company.

Punk is currently out of action due to an triceps injury that he suffered in the Men’s Royal Rumble match in January. Learn more about the injury here.
