CM Punk Won’t Rule Out Future Match With Samoa Joe, Calls AEW Star Best Promo In Wrestling
CM Punk says “anything is possible” in relation to a future match against one of his greatest rivals.
CM Punk hasn’t wrestled since the 2014 Royal Rumble Match where he entered at number one and lasted until the final four with Rey Mysterio, Batista, and Roman Reigns.
The following night, CM Punk would walk out on WWE leading to him being suspended and eventually having his contract terminated. What followed was a turbulent lawsuit after CM Punk made an appearance on Colt Cabana’s Art Of Wrestling podcast and detailed his experiences with WWE’s medical staff.
CM Punk would eventually return to WWE television by way of WWE Backstage on FS1 where he provided expert analysis on WWE alongside Renee Paquette, Paige, Booker T, and others.
While CM Punk has always said that for him to make a return to the ring it would take an interesting story and the proper business deal, CM Punk recently stated in a Twitter Q&A that he would not rule out a match in the future against his old rival from Ring of Honor wrestling, Samoa Joe.
Is there a possibility of another @CMPunk vs @SamoaJoe match in the near future? #JakobsWife

Samoa Joe was released by WWE on Thursday, April 15th, 2021. Afterward, CM Punk and Samoa Joe shared some friendly banter regarding his exit from WWE.
In the same Twitter Q&A, CM Punk, once viewed as a master of the microphone, calls Eddie Kingston of AEW the best promo in wrestling and tells Ring of Honor’s Danhausen that he would be willing to loan him his Straight Edge Society mask, provided that he can find it first.

One match that does not interest CM Punk is a future match against Triple H. Be that as it may, CM Punk does admit that should he ever return to WWE, that is likely the match that would be the most marketable. Learn more here.
