CM Punk: Who Would Want To Work With Somebody That Randomly Punches People In The Face Backstage
CM Punk is back and he’s getting comfortable on the microphone again.
CM Punk returned to SmackDown for the first time in a decade on the December 8 edition. Punk immediately referenced that he was not the last segment in the show and would not be getting his time on the microphone cut.
Punk then asked the audience at WWE Tribute to the Troops how they would feel about him signing exclusively to Raw as opposed to SmackDown.
CM Punk also addressed Roman Reigns, acknowledging “The Tribal Chief,” before telling him to remember who the original Paul Heyman Guy is, saying that Paul was his wise man before he belonged to Roman. Punk then teased appearing in the Royal Rumble, stating that his mission was to finish his story and headline WrestleMania.
Punk did address Seth Rollins, but not by name. Punk did say that Rollins was not “the man” in his own household, but that he would appear on the December 11 WWE Monday Night Raw in Cleveland to decide whether he would sign with SmackDown or Raw officially.
Punk addressed a few other names on the roster. When a fan mentioned Kevin Owens, Punk said he wasn’t sure if he and Kevin could get along because they’re too similar. Kevin, according to Punk, is a little prickly and he’s not sure about working with someone who goes around punching people in the face backstage, “because it’s 2023, and you just can’t be doing that.”

CM Punk was let go from AEW following a backstage altercation at AEW All In that reportedly got physical between him and Jack Perry.
Punk later came face to face with Kevin Owens very briefly and was openly welcomed back by Cody Rhodes with a handshake.
