CM Punk On If The Hatchet Can Be Buried With Colt Cabana: Probably Not

Don’t expect CM Punk to make up with Colt Cabana.

Punk and Cabana have been at odds for nearly a decade at this point, stemming back to the issues that were brought up after Punk appeared on a episode of Cabana’s ‘The Art Of Wrestling’ podcast in November 2014.

Punk went off on Cabana in the All Out media scrum in 2022, revealing that he shares a bank account with his mother and that he didn’t attempt to get Cabana fired from AEW.

Fast forward to April 2024, and CM Punk is now back in WWE, as he was fired from AEW following an altercation with Jack Perry at All In.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour for a new interview, Punk spoke about his current standing with Cabana.

“Probably not.” Punk said when asked if the hatchet could be buried with Cabana.

Punk then went on to note that Cabana did attempt to talk to him at a show before the All Out scrum in September 2022.

“He came up to me one time at a show, I was at the curtain. He came up to me (pre-All Out scrum) and he was like, ‘Hey, can we talk so it’s not weird between us.’ I just said, ‘I won’t ever talk to you without a lawyer present.’ That was it.”

The ‘Best In The World’ then went on to note that his feelings towards Cabana are still the same, as it caused a bunch of dumb shit for no reason.

“Yeah. It caused all this dumb shit, for no reason. Oh, I got the guy fired. He hasn’t been on TV since whenever. It is what it is. I applaud. I said this to Hangman, I get taking up for your friends. I get it. It’s commendable. Right or wrong, I will stand up for my friends, but to go on national television and jeopardize a million dollar house that you ain’t never drawn before, now you’re disrespecting me and disrespecting the business. This is my house. I drew that. Not you. It’s egos.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Punk said that is currently more reserved than he usually, strictly because he doesn’t want to rock the boat. Fans can learn more here.

Punk is set to appear at WrestleMania 40, as he will be on commentary for the World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre. Learn more here.
