Christopher Daniels Says That Regardless Of What Happens At ‘Final Battle’, He’ll Continue Wrestling
Daniels will continue moving forward.
Tonight, live on ‘HonorClub’ from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City is the 17th installment of Ring Of Honor’s ‘Final Battle’ pay-per-view. ‘Final Battle’ is one of the company’s biggest shows of the year and the match card lives up to that as Cody takes on Jay Lethal for the ROH World Championship, Christopher Daniels and Marty Scurll clash for the right to become #1 contender for the ROH World Title, Adam “Hangman” Page gets his shot at the ROH World Television Championship and there will be a Four Corners Survival match for the Women Of Honor World Championship as well.
One of the storylines that has been building for well over a year heading into tonight’s ‘Final Battle’ show is that Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian’s contracts with Ring Of Honor expire tonight. All three members of S.C.U. are competing at ‘Final Battle’ in major matches with either championships on the line or championship implications. It was reported last month in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Daniels and Kazarian have yet to sign new deals with ROH and to promote tonight’s pay-per-view, the trio of Scorpio Sky, Kazarian and Daniels spoke with ESPN and during the conversation Daniels stated that regardless of what happens tonight, his in-ring career will continue.
“I haven’t decided to hang up my boots yet, so whatever happens, I want to continue wrestling until I decide it’s time for me to stop,” said Daniels. “I haven’t put an end date on when the in-ring part of my career is going to be finished. It’s hard to put those plans in any sort of motion until I know for sure it’s time for me to walk away from the performance side of it.”
