Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram Says AEW Revolution Performance Came Together At The Last Minute

Kingfish talks about performing Jade Cargill’s AEW theme.

Jade Cargill is still undefeated in AEW. Her most recent title defense occurred at AEW Revolution where she defeated Tay Conti.

That night, she had a special entrance where she was played to the ring live by Christone “Kingfish” Ingram. Speaking about his performance to Darren Paltrowitz, Ingram said it came together at the last minute and it was also his first time meeting Jade Cargill in person. 

“Oh, it was definitely a surprise that happened at the last minute,” he began. “That was my first time officially meeting Jade, but I met her virtually through my manager, Rick. He was the one that got me on her record a couple of months back.”

Asked whether he knew about the level of success Jade Cargill would reach, he says that he knew early on that he was going to be a part of history. 

“I knew about her debut and everything but the way that they pushed her, she went over quickly. So yeah, when I played on it I’m like, ‘Okay, yeah, I’m a part of history,’ for sure,” he said.

Jade Cargill remains undefeated but also says that she is currently focused on getting better in the ring before she tries to move up in the world and challenge for the Women’s World Championship. Learn more here.
