Christian Cage Set To Compete In 10-Man Tag Team Match On 9/16 IMPACT Wrestling

A huge 10-Man Tag Team Match has been announced for the go-home show to IMPACT Victory Road.

On the September 9 episode of IMPACT, Ace Austin went to Scott D’Amore and tried to have him book Christian Cage in a match for next week. Austin, who is set to face Cage at Victory Road for the IMPACT World Championship, wanted to weaken his opponent just two days before the event. D’Amore agreed to book Christian in a match but decided to make it a 10-Man Tag with Christian and Ace both tasked with putting together their own teams.

Austin put his team together with relative ease. After recruiting Brian Myers to join him and his sidekick, Madman Fulton, Moose and W. Morrissey approached the #1 Contender and offered their services. Cage on the other hand approached the likes of Josh Alexander and Chris Sabin, both of whom said yes. Finally, Christian spoke with Sami Callihan and Eddie Edwards. Sami agreed, but Eddie refused to team with Sami. Later in the night, Sami came to Eddie’s aid, so it remains to be seen if they will both fight alongside Christian. They were recently announced for a tag team match against Moose and Morrissey at Victory Road, so their feud appears to be on the backburner for the time being.

As of this writing, no other matches have been announced for next week’s show. Fightful will keep you updated should that change.
