Chris Sabin vs. Lio Rush For IMPACT X-Division Title Set For IMPACT Slammiversary 2023
Lio Rush made his official debut in IMPACT Wrestling on June 29, and he will already have an IMPACT X-Division Title match by July 15 at IMPACT Slammiversary.
Rush successfully debuted with a victory over Jack Price. However, during the show’s closing moments of the show that he made the greatest impact. While Chris Sabin was trying to save Alex Shelley from an attack by Nick Aldis, Rush came out and blindsided Sabin, closing the show by holding up the X-Division gold.
In a digital exclusive recorded after the show, Sabin said he would give Rush what he wanted, setting up a championship match for July 15 on pay-per-view.
