Chris Sabin Undergoes Successful ACL Surgery

Chris Sabin provides an update on his injury.

Chris Sabin took to social media to inform fans that he underwent successful ACL surgery today, Apr. 24. Sabin suffered the injury on Jan. 12 in a six-way bout against Shane Taylor, Luchasaurus, Rhett Titus, Kenny King and Flip Gordon at the ROH television tapings. Shortly after the injury, Sabin’s contract with ROH expired and the two sides did not come to terms on a new deal.

This marks the third ACL tear of Sabin’s career that required surgery to repair. He suffered knee injuries in 2011 and 2012 as a member of the IMPACT Wrestling roster.

Sabin reportedly worked as a producer at the IMPACT Wrestling television tapings in Windsor last month.

There is no timetable for Sabin’s return, though he did tweet in January that he would be out for 8 to 12 months. However, that timetable could be delayed as he just now underwent surgery.
