Chris Jericho On AEW Running Live Shows Again: It’s Time To Get Back On Track
Next Wednesday, AEW Dynamite will return to a live format after a month of taped episodes. AEW taped episodes from Florida and Georgia last month and has pieced together content to roll out each Wednesday. But with Florida lifting the stay-at-home order to begin May, AEW will head back to Jacksonville and Daily’s Place.
And Chris Jericho is excited to be back in a live format.
“I think everybody kind of wants to get back to work,” Jericho told Newsweek. “We’re trying to start slowly and integrate back into life and I think it’s perfect. Obviously, we’ll take precautions and all that sort of stuff but it’s time to get back on track and I’m looking forward to it.”
Jericho hasn’t wrestled in the empty arena shows but has managed to remain an integral part of the shows on commentary with Tony Schiavone and in skits with The Inner Circle as The Bubbly Bunch.
“I’m doing something different every day and keeping creatively stimulated. I find that the worst thing you could do is kind of fall into the trap of, ‘Oh, it’s like Groundhog Day, it’s like every other day because that’s just the way it is.’ The more you kind of basically entertain yourself, the better off you’re going to be,” he said.
Jericho will complete next week, teaming with Sammy Guevara to take on Kenny Omega and Matt Hardy in a street fight.
