Chris Kanyon Episode Of ‘Dark Side Of The Ring’ Draws Over 200,000 Viewers
Big numbers for Dark Side of the Ring.
ShowBuzzDaily reports the September 23 episode of Dark Side of the Ring drew 214,000 viewers. This number is well up from last Thursday, which drew 153,000 viewers.
Thursday’s episode of Dark Side of the Ring focused on the life and career of Chris Kanyon. Last Thursday’s episode focused on “The Plane Ride from Hell” and received major attention with sexual assault allegations levied at Ric Flair. Flair posted a statement where he denied the allegations and Tommy Dreamer was suspended by IMPACT Wrestling for his comments on the show.
The show scored a 0.07 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, which is the same rating the show scored later week.
Dark Side of the Ring finished 87th among cable originals. The night was topped by Thursday Night Football on the NFL Network, which drew 7.393 million viewers and a 2.33 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.
Dark Side of the Ring airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on VICE TV. The next episode is entitled “Blood & Wire: Onita’s FMW” and will focus on Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling.
