Chikara Announces New Wrestle Factory Location In North Carolina

Chikara, the over-the-top promotion from Philadelphia, has announced that they’re expanding their horizons with a new Wrestle Factory location.

This new location will be in the heart of the Mid-Atlantic region, North Carolina. Chikara released the following statement on their Wrestle Factory website.

Today, The Wrestle Factory expands with the announcement of Wrestle Factory: Carolina Dojo!

Based in Newport, North Carolina, The Wrestle Factory’s new dojo will be under the direction of Jakob Hammermeier. Both Core Curriculum and Tiered Curriculum classes will be offered at Wrestle Factory: Carolina Dojo, mirroring the exact system and class structure designed by Wrestle Factory founder Mike Quackenbush. Our new facility will mark its Grand Opening on Sunday, February 16, 2020 with a free “Intro to Pro-Wrestling” workshop, offered to anyone interested to get in the ring and sample the training system for themselves!

If you’re not sure if pro-wrestling training is right for you, this free workshop definitely is! That’s because the “Intro to Pro-Wrestling” workshop is designed specifically with you in mind! Jakob Hammermeier and Mike Quackenbush will oversee this approx. 90-minute workshop, designed for those with NO prior experience in professional wrestling. Attendees must be at least 18 years of age, and will sign an injury waiver before getting in the ring. See for yourself what a beginner-level session of professional wrestling training is like, without any further obligation. There are 24 openings in the workshop. (Non-registered observers are not permitted in the workshop.)

The workshop will be held on February 16th, at 12:30 pm. To join this workshop, email your full name and age to Jakob Hammermeier to register for this special event.

Jakob Hammermeier, an 11-year pro, operated the Carolina Wrestling Academy before partnering with The Wrestle Factory, LLC. He will serve as head trainer of Wrestle Factory: Carolina Dojo.

Mike Quackenbush, a 26-year pro, is the founder of The Wrestle Factory. His most recent book, “7 Keys to Becoming a Better Performer – A Book for Fellow Pro-Wrestlers” is available via Amazon and on Audible.

The Wrestle Factory was founded in January, 2002 by Mike Quackenbush and Tom “Reckless Youth” Carter in Allentown, PA. It has produced some of the finest pro-wrestlers active today – from Claudio “Cesaro” Castagnoli to Drew Gulak. In 2020, The Wrestle Factory training system comes to North Carolina, marking the first expansion into an additional facility in our company’s history.

The original Wrestle Factory is still located in Pennsylvania.
