Charlotte Flair Talking Ronda Rousey: “Whoever Is Teaching Her Is Doing Such A Phenomenal Job”

Charlotte has some high praise for her opponent on Sunday.

The first match that was announced for WWE’s 2018 Survivor Series pay-per-view was SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch going one-on-one with RAW Women’s Champion and UFC Hall Of Famer Ronda Rousey. This past Monday on the WWE RAW go-home show for Survivor Series, Becky Lynch kick-started a brawl with Ronda Rousey and the entire RAW women’s roster. During the all-out brawl between the red and blue brands, Nia Jax landed a flush-shot to the face of Becky Lynch which concussed the “Irish Lasskicker” and caused Becky to be pulled from her scheduled bout against Ronda Rousey.

The following night on SmackDown Live Becky came out to address the fans and officially announce herself that she would not be competing at Survivor Series and that she had to choose a replacement to step in the ring with Ronda Rousey. Lynch ended up choosing the woman who she has been at odds with since SummerSlam – former 8-time WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. Charlotte is now set to meet with Ronda Rousey in the squared circle at Survivor Series and ahead of the bout Charlotte shared some praise for Survivor Series opponent during an interview with ‘Comicbook’. Charlotte spoke on Ronda’s in-ring abilities seeing as how Ronda is only ten months into her WWE career and stated that Ronda is looking like she has been wrestling for years.

“Well, they’re just thinking about the moves and not the meaning behind them. Watching her, she looks like she’s been doing this for years, and that’s very hard to do.” Charlotte stated. “It looks effortless. It’s one thing to be an athlete, but it’s another to, just because you’re an athlete doesn’t mean you’re going to be a good WWE Superstar,” said Flair. “Who’s ever talking to her or teaching her is doing such a phenomenal job, because the whole goal is to make it look like you’re not thinking. There’s not a second that you think she’s thinking,” said Flair.

Ronda Rousey versus Becky Lynch was not the only high-profile match slated for Survivor Series that underwent a change. Also on this past Tuesday’s SmackDown Live, Daniel Bryan defeated AJ Styles to become WWE Champion and is now moving on to the 32nd annual Survivor Series to face the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.
