Charlotte Flair On Surpassing Ric Flair’s 16 World Title Reigns: I’m Breaking The Record

Charlotte Flair makes a bold claim.

Charlotte is recognized as a 14-time WWE Women’s Champion, two title reigns off the record of 16 World Title reigns by her father Ric Flair and John Cena.

Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Charlotte stated she’s going after the record.

“I’m breaking the record,” said Flair. “I’m so close. For so long, I stayed away from discussing it. But I’ve done every single thing there is to do, and this is my next goal. I want to keep getting better and see where I can take this character.”

Charlotte is no stranger to the title picture, having been the champion or challenger in all seven of her WrestleMania appearances.

“That wasn’t a goal, it just happened along the way. I’m betting on myself being the champion or challenger. Brock Lesnar is the only other person to do that,” she said.

Charlotte lost the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion (WWE Women’s World Championship) to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39.

WrestleMania 40 is set for April 6 and April 7 in Philadelphia.
