Charlotte Flair Said She Found Out About WrestleMania 35 Helicopter Entrance On The Go-Home Show
Charlotte Flair‘s WrestleMania 35 entrance was unique, but it wasn’t one Flair knew about for months. In fact, she only found out about it days before the show took place.
At WrestleMania 35 last year, Flair arrived in a helicopter, which is an homage to his father Ric’s entrance for his 1985 NWA World Heavyweight Championship match at the Great American Bash, before her match against Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch. With such a big entrance planned for Charlotte, she revealed in an interview with Sports Illustrated that the helicopter entrance was not her idea. In fact, she actually did not know about it until the go-home show before WrestleMania 35.
“That was definitely not my idea. Do you think I actually went to the boss and asked for a helicopter? I didn’t even know about the entrance until our last go-home show before ’Mania. They were like, ‘Hey, we have this idea. What do you think?’ And I was like, ‘That is incredible.’ With so many playbacks to my dad, it was very cool,” Charlotte said.
Charlotte was not successful in that match, which saw Becky Lynch capture both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championship. But now, she will look to make history once again as Charlotte will wrestle Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36.
WrestleMania 36 will take place on April 5 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Fightful will have live coverage of the event.
