Here is your fight size update for WWE Friday Night SmackDown and AEW Rampage on Friday, February 24.

WWE SmackDown

Dominik Mysterio got into a heated confrontation with SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, as Dominik hyped up Flair’s opponent at WrestleMania, Rhea Ripley. Charlotte referenced Andrade El Idolo by noting that she had a “real Latino at home” at called her “Mami”. She also said Ric Flair could beat up Dominik. Rhea Ripley came to the ring, and Flair rose her title as the two rivals stared each other down.

Rey Mysterio battled Karrion Kross, and his Dominik interfered. Dominik cost Rey the match, and he continued to push his father after the bell. Rey refused to give in, and he chose to walk away instead.

Bray Wyatt hosted a mysterious edition of Firefly Fun House, in which he debuted a new mask and asked fans if they could keep a secret.

– Jimmy Uso showed up by himself and said he hasn’t spoken to Jey Uso since Elimination Chamber, but he invited his brother to speak to him in the ring. Later in the show, Jimmy talked to Solo Sikoa and noted that everything has felt different since Montreal. Heyman told Jimmy to handle Jey. Heyman later revealed that Roman Reigns will be back on the March 3 episode, and he vowed to “handle” Jey if Jimmy didn’t. At the end of the show, Jimmy came to the ring and addressed Jey, as he said that he couldn’t do “this” alone. Sami Zayn came to the ring and discussed his relationship with Jimmy, who noted that Sami made the choice to turn on The Bloodline. Jay appeared, and with Sami distraction, Jimmy dropped him with a cheap shot. Sami gained the upper hand and left the ring once Solo Sikoa came down. Jey’s loyalty remained uncertain.

Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) faced Braun Strowman, Ricochet & Madcap Moss. During the bout, Drew McIntyre came to the stage and stared down Gunther. In the end, the WWE Intercontinental Champion pinned Madcap Moss with a powerbomb. He stared down McIntyre, and the Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) attacked “The Scottish Warrior”. Sheamus made the save, and Strowman helped out as well. Ricochet dove onto the Viking Raiders.

– Backstage, Rey Mysterio discussed his match with Karrion Kross. Santos Escobar approached him and told the veteran he respected him. Rey said the feeling was mutual, but Domink interrupted and insulted both of them. Escobar said he’d teach Dominik some respect, and Dominik referenced his time in prison to make it clear he wasn’t afraid of the former NXT star.

– LA Knight came to the ring and brought up the fact that it was WrestleMania season. He said he was there to make money, win titles, and prove he’s the best, and he can do that by going to WrestleMania. Knight stated that you can’t have WrestleMania in LA without LA Knight. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) interrupted, and Kofi noted that Knight had only been on the roster for two months. Knight fired back and called them nerds. Woods made it clear that everyone had to earn a WrestleMania moment. Knight brought up the downfall of KofiMania. Kofi challenged Knight to a match. They went back and forth in a competitive match. Knight shoved Woods at ringside and talked some trash. A distraction from Woods helped Kingston score the win with the Trouble in Paradise.

Natalya took on Shayna Baszler. Ronda Rousey was in Baszler’s corner, in her corner, while Tegan Nox was at ringside for Natalya. Baszler won the bout, but Nox brought the fight to Baszler and Rousey when they tried to attack Natalya after the bell.

– In A SmackDown Exclusive, Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) discussed Drew McIntyre’s presence during their six-man tag team match. They stated that they didn’t invite McIntyre. Vinci hyped up their success. Gunther told anyone who wants to step up to get in line.

AEW Rampage

– The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) faced Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis). House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King & Buddy Matthews) confronted The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega after the match before the lights went out and they vanished. The broadcast team later announced that The Elite (Omega and The Young Bucks) will defend the AEW World Trios Championship against the House of Black at AEW Revolution

– Thanks to some interference from Daniel Garcia, Sammy Guevara beat Action Andretti.

– Toni Storm defeated Willow. After the match, Saraya and Storm tried to spray paint Willow, but Ruby Soho made the save. AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter then attacked Saraya. 

– Backstage, Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta were attacked by Big Bill and Lee Moriarty. The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn) joined in on the assault. Orange Cassidy arrived and teased that he wanted revenge.

Lance Archer, accompanied by Jake Roberts, returned to the ring and picked up a dominant win against Bryce Saturn.

– Jade Cargill discussed what’s next for her, and she stated that the fans’ favorites should be coming for her and asking for a shot. She welcomed any and all challengers. 

– In an interview, The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens), alongside Billy Gunn, expressed their confidence ahead of the tag title match at AEW Rampage. Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, and Satnam Singh, alongside Sonjay Dutt, attacked the trio.

– Keith Lee and Dustin Rhodes discussed their feud with Swerve Strickland and Parker Boudreaux, setting the stage for a tag team bout the following week.

– Matt Hardy was picked to be HOOK’s opponent for the March 1 episode of AEW Dynamite.
