Charlotte Flair: “I Had The Iron Man Match With Sasha At Roadblock So I’m Ready To Push The Envelope With Becky”
Charlotte is ready to crank it up with Becky.
The two former best-friends Charlotte Flair and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch have been at odds with one another dating back to the 2018 SummerSlam PPV where their friendship came to an end as Becky felt that Charlotte was holding her back from standing atop of the women’s division so Becky removed Charlotte from the equation. From that point moving forward the two SmackDown stars have clashed at every PPV coming out of SummerSlam with the SmackDown Women’s Title on the line and that streak will continue because on October 28th at WWE’s first-ever all-women’s PPV ‘Evolution’, Charlotte and Becky will meet once again in the second Last Woman Standing match in WWE history.
The first Last Woman Standing match in WWE took place in 2017 when Nikki Cross and Asuka went to war over the NXT Women’s Championship. Charlotte is no stranger to specialty matches as she has been in Hell In A Cell, Falls Count Anywhere and Ironwoman matches. To promote her upcoming bout with “The Irish Lasskicker”, Charlotte spoke with the New York Post and stated that her match with Sasha Banks at the 2016 WWE ‘Roadblock’ PPV was special but she is looking forward to raising the bar with Becky Lynch at ‘Evolution’.
“I had the ironman match with Sasha at Roadblock so I’m ready to push the envelope with Becky,” Charlotte said.
Charlotte holds her match with Sasha at ‘Roadblock’ in 2016 high on her list of favorite matches and she compared that bout to her forthcoming match with Becky numerous times throughout this interview.
“I’m having to work that much harder to figure it out,” Flair said. “And in my opinion I think it has a chance to be up there with Sasha’s after Evolution because I have learned so much in the last few years that I’ve been on the main roster.”
“The Queen” also spoke about Bianca Belair who she has praised in the past and discussed having WWE Hall Of Famer Lita as a mentor. To read the full interview, click here.
