Charlotte Flair Is “All-In” On A Match With Ronda Rousey
Charlotte Flair says she is living a dream and she is ready for Ronda Rousey.
In an interview with ESPN, Charlotte Flair talked at length about growing up as Ric Flair's daughter. ESPN has a documentary coming out about her father and she recently co-authored a book with her father. Some of the content of the book tells the story of how Flair transitioned from being a Division One athlete to being one of WWE's top talents. She said the decision to go to WWE changed everything she had planned for her life.
"When I walked through the doors at NXT in July of 2012, I never looked back. I never dreamed of success, I just worked for it," said Flair. "I never grew up wanting to be a WWE Superstar. I played sports, I played Division One volleyball. I never saw myself as an entertainer, nonetheless carrying on my father's legacy. That's what my little brother wanted. My little brother wanted to be my dad, since we were kids. That was his dream," she continued.
Flair revealed her brother was the one to convince her to go to WWE. The original plan was for both of them to wrestle at WWE. Her brother Reid Flair passed away in 2013.
During the interview, Flair was asked about Ronda Rousey. The former UFC champion has been making her way on some of WWE's programming. Flair was asked if she is ready to face someone like Rousey.
"I think its probably WWE's decision and Ronda's decision," said Flair. "I'm all in," she added.
Rousey has appeared at Wrestlemania, on WWE's YouTube, and she appeared in the crowd at the Mae Young Classic. She had one confrontation with Flair already and is reportedly training with Brian Kendrick.
