Here is your fight size update following AEW Dynamite on August 9, 2023.

– Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli) defeated the Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix). Penta got unmasked, and Moxley pinned him. The BCC left the Lucha Brothers lying with a post-match beatdown, and Castagnoli both put Penta’s mask on and walked away with it.

– The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Hardy) defeated The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy). After the bell, the Young Bucks accepted FTR’s challenge to a match at AEW All In.

– AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole did some bonding at a trampoline park. In a scene right out of “Billy Madison”, MJF dominated some kids in dodgeball.

The Jericho Appreciation Society imploded, as Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, Tay Melo, Anna Jay, Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, and Sammy Guevara walked away from Chris Jericho.

Jack Perry defeated Rob Van Dam to retain the FTW Championship.

– Adam Cole revealed that he wanted to challenge for the ROH World Championship at AEW All In: Zero hour. MJF reluctantly agreed to the match and challenged Aussie Open (Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher) to defend the gold.

MJF borrowed from Taylor Swift to insult Roderick Strong. The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) comforted Strong. Tensions then rose between Cole and MJF.

– Sting made his return and backed up Darby Allin against Swerve Strickland and Mogul Embassy, setting the stage for a Tag Team Coffin Match at AEW All In.

A tournament will determine the AEW Women’s World Championship match at AEW All In.

– Kenny Omega was asked about AEW All In. He said he would talk about his future next week. 

– Chris Jericho told Don Callis he made a decision, and he would tell Callis next week.

– Hikaru Shida defeated Anna Jay to retain the AEW Women’s World Championshop and advance to the title match at AEW All In.

– Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) took shots at Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta) and Death Triangle (PAC, Rey Fenix, and Penta El Zero Miedo).
