Carlito On WWE Backlash Appearance: That Was All Bad Bunny
Carlito made a brief return to WWE at WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico, helping Bad Bunny in his match against Damian Priest.
Carlito made a brief return to WWE in 2021 in the Royal Rumble. He had not been part of WWE full-time since 2010.
Speaking on The Ringer’s Cheap Heat podcast, Carlito was asked about his return at WWE Backlash.
“That’s all Bad Bunny. He’s a fan. Puerto Rican, he’s a fan of mine growing up. I think it was one of his ideas. Him or Hunter. They said it would be a great idea for me to be a part of it. Being from Puerto Rico, it just makes sense,” he said.
Bad Bunny was victorious in the bout.
Carlito reportedly re-signed with WWE after Backlash, but he did not make his on-screen return until WWE Fastlane when he joined Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar against Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins).
