Cain Velasquez Says He’ll Be In WWE For The Next Three Years
Cain Velasquez reveals contract length.
On Oct. 11, WWE announced Cain Velasquez had signed a multi-year deal with the promotion. Terms of the deal were not announced. WrestlingNews.co caught up with Velasquez, who revealed he will be sticking around WWE for the next three years.
“I love it,” said Velasquez. “Being with Rey Mysterio, I’ve been training with him. I’m ready for him and ready for Crown Jewel… The guys at WWE are amazing and professional, amazing athletes. For me, it’s good because I get to the stuff I’ve been doing my whole career with collegiate wrestling and MMA. I still get to do a lot of the techniques I’ve done in MMA. WWE brought me in to face Brock so I’m here to take care of business. Training with Rey, obviously there’s something I can learn. I’m still very new to this sport and I’m only going to get better. I’ll be here for the next three years. I’m going to keep doing it. I love it, so I’m going to keep doing it.”
Velasquez is set to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship on Oct. 31 at WWE Crown Jewel.
The two will meet face-to-face on Friday Night SmackDown. Fightful will have live coverage of SmackDown beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
