C*4 Announces That They’ve Raised Over One Hundred Thousand Dollars For The Canadian Cancer Society

For the first time in nearly 600 days, Capital City Championship Combat (C*4) returned to action on September 18, 2021.

The Ottawa-based promotion has been raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society since 2011 when Phrank Morin, a local performer passed away at the age of 23 from an aggressive form of cancer. In the decade since then, they had raised over $300,000 for the charity.

During their September 18 show, which featured the likes of Evil Uno, Daniel Garcia, LuFisto, Speedball Mike Bailey, and others, they announced that they had raised an additional $105,000 over the course of the year. This would bring their all-time tally to over $450,000.

From the Canadian Cancer Society:

On Saturday, September 18th, 2021, C*4 returns to action for the first time since January 2020. And we’re doing it for a cause that’s near and dear to our heart, as we celebrate a decade of “Fighting Back: Wrestling with Cancer”.

Since August 2011, we have gathered annually to raise as much money as possible in memory of Phrank Morin – as well as all of those close to us who have suffered through cancer of all sorts. With the help of a global community, we have managed to raise over $350 000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.

This year, we once again will present to you the best of the Canadian independent wrestling community, coming together to raise as much money as possible for the Canadian Cancer Society!

We are very excited to see all of you once again. And if you cannot join in person – please consider making a pledge here to add to our fundraising total.

For more information, email fighting-back@hotmail.com.

Fightful will have results from the event as soon as they become available.
